After two boys were allegedly kidnapped from a residence overnight in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, a man has been detained.
An eight-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped at 4am today from a residence in Moora, Western Australia, which is located 177 kilometres north of Perth.
The accused allegedly returned to the house and attempted to drag a 12-year-old child out of the house by snatching him.
The 12-year-old was able to escape and raced back inside the house to inform an adult, who then called the police, according to the police.
After several hours of searching, police located the eight-year-old youngster in a nearby house.
According to authorities, “both toddlers were transported to the hospital for a standard medical examination.”
The man is assisting police with their inquiries after being detained.
The two boys do not appear to know the man, according to authorities.
