After being allegedly set on fire by another guy during an assault at a home in central Victoria, a man has passed away in the hospital.
It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but I’m back and I’m here to tell you that I’m still here.
Soon after the event, he was evacuated to the Alfred hospital with life-threatening burns to his upper body, but he passed away late last night.
After emergency services were alerted, firefighters sprung into action to put out a fire in a woodland area close to the scene of the alleged assault.
At the site, a 63-year-old Wheatsheaf man was taken into custody.
He was charged with attempted murder yesterday, but according to authorities, the charge will likely be changed to murder.
He will appear today in Ballarat Magistrates Court.
