In their Perth home, a man has admitted to killing his partner before stealing a petrol station and crashing his pickup.
On Wednesday, Steven James Alan Dean, 37, entered a guilty plea in Perth Magistrates Court.
Emmerich Lasakar, a 35-year-old mother of two, was found critically injured by police on April 17 at a residence in Perth’s east. She later passed away at Royal Perth Hospital.
In addition, Dean admitted guilt to charges of reckless driving, attempted aggravated armed robbery, and house invasion. These offences were reportedly committed on the same day.
The alleged armed robbery occurred at a fuel station in nearby East Victoria Park, according to the accusation.
After Dean’s dual-cab utility vehicle was involved in a serious accident in St. James, police detained him.
He was placed back into custody and has been ordered to return on August 28 to be mentioned in court.
