After killing Melbourne mother Ju ‘Kelly’ Zhang, her boyfriend observed the body being removed from a wheelie bin by a garbage truck.
On Wednesday, a jury in Victoria’s Supreme Court found Joon Seong Tan guilty of her slaying.
When Tan killed Zhang in her home in February 2021, they had only been dating for a month.
After having supper with Zhang and her eight-year-old son between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., the prosecution informed the jury that Tan had killed Zhang.
According to rumors, Zhang had grown disenchanted with Tan and had begun dating someone else.
Tan had noticed his vehicle in her driveway.
Tan allegedly confessed to a friend that he thought Zhang was cheating on him and that he would “kill her, hug her, and die together” if he found out.
Tan allegedly also told a friend that he inadvertently killed Zhang during a fight with her, cleaned up the scene, and moved her body to a laundry cupboard.
